Kadima's Operational Needs

Kadima Plus

Support services to seniors with mental illness enabling them to continue to live independently.

($30,000) ($600,000)
Supported Employment

Assessment for job readiness, supported job searching, job coaching, and long-term follow-along on the job.

Supported Independent Living

This program is designed for adults to live semi-independently in the community. Clients are responsible for maintaining their home and have access to a wide range of support services from Kadima staff.

Prescription/Medical Needs

This program provides clients who do not have insurance and who cannot afford the vital medications with a subsidy to insure that they receive the psychotropic drugs prescribed by their psychiatrist.

Transportation

Many Kadima clients do not have cars or access to public transportation. This program pays for Kadima staff to provide needed transportation to medical appointments, shopping and Kadima activities.

Community Education

This program will provides educational programs open to the community to educate the community about mental illness treatment options.

Summer Retreat

Each year Kadima takes a number of clients to camp, for a change of pace and atmosphere. This is a very positive experience which helps them enjoy new activities and the camaraderie of friends.

Relocation

This program pays moving costs to move a client into a Kadima home.

Social Activities

This program provides staff organized and supervised activities.

Respite Care

This program provides temporary housing for a mentally ill adult, which gives the family a break from the pressure of day-to-day care and supervision.

Holiday Celebrations

This program provides Jewish holiday celebrations for Kadima clients.

Israel Travel (client & staff) This program could provide several clients and necessary staff with a trip to Israel as part of a community sponsored trip. ($15,000) ($300,000)
Counseling Scholarship

This program would allow clients to receive the counseling help they need but cannot afford.

House Beautification

This program would provide seasonal clean-up and planting around our Kadima family homes.

Psycho-education Programs

This program would provide for clients to attend educational classes or conferences when possible.

Activity Center

This would provide funds for the operation of the Activity Center

Provides supportive services for parents of youth who have behavioral problems.
