Kadima

Education

Many Kadima trainings, events and conferences are held each year that offer education about mental health issues, as well as informative and inspirational programming.

Third year medical students from the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine spend one day with Kadima clients as part of their psychiatric rotation. This program provides each student with a chance to shadow a Kadima client through a typical day in their life, thus gaining insight directly from the client about what it is like to live with a chronic mental illness. This initiative provides students with invaluable insight and gives clients, the actual consumer of mental health care, an opportunity to take part in the education of their future healthcare providers. The day culminates with a debriefing session with a member of the Kadima clinical team.
