Kadima

Services

Kadima provides a continuum of residential, clinical and educational/outreach programs for members of the community with mental health challenges.

Kadima provides a continuum of residential services that range from 24-hour care to independent living with supports. Each individual referred to Kadima receives an assessment to determine which level of care is appropriate. Some clients will enter Kadima requiring higher levels of staff support and supervision, while others will progress to lower levels of care and ultimately move to independent living with support in their own homes provided as needed. It is Kadima’s goal to assure all clients live in the most independent setting possible.

All individuals that receive residential services from Kadima are provided with a comprehensive service package which may include any or all of the following services: transportation for medical and psychiatric appointments, grocery shopping; psychosocial rehabilitative therapy and social outings through the Lois and Milton Y. Zussman Activity Center; individual and group clinical services; education and vocational support; connections with community volunteer opportunities and social integration. All homes are located in Oakland County, including Farmington Hills, West Bloomfield, Southfield and Oak Park.

Staffed Homes

Kadima operates homes that are staffed based on client needs, ranging from 24-hour licensed adult foster care homes to 8-hour care. Trained direct-care staff will assist clients with all needs. This may include medication management, house keeping, cooking and shopping, hygeine and other needs that arise. Each home has a House Manager that supervises the direct-care staff and manages the administrative responsibilities of the home.

Semi-Independent Living

Semi-independent homes are available for individuals that may not need as much direct care, but still need housing and some supports, which may include medication management, transportation, etc. The semi-independent homes have staff available four hours each day. Many of the individuals living in a four-hour semi-independent home or condo are employed or spend time involved with community volunteerism or other daily activities.

Community Living Services

Kadima’s Community Living Services program provides a service to individuals living in their own home, but can benefit from some supports. Kadima staff will visit with the client daily, weekly, or several times per month to provide services as needed. In addition, all individuals enrolled in Community Living Services receive the same continuum of services as Kadima residential care clients, including transportation, educational and vocational support, therapy and social interaction as desired.
