Integrative medicine is the practice of medicine that reaffirms the importance of the relationship between practitioner and patient, focuses on the whole person, is informed by evidence and makes use of all appropriate therapeutic approaches, health care professionals and disciplines to achieve optimal health and healing. Kadima, along with many other health care and community resource agencies around the country, has moved to an integrated health care model.

Individuals with mental illness tend to die earlier due to likelihood of co-morbid conditions. Many of these conditions are predicated by generally poor integrated healthcare, poor nutrition and lack of exercise. Kadima employs a full-time nurse to provide the following services to all clients:

  • Enhanced coordination and delivery of primary and specialty medical and psychiatric health care.
  • Health Screenings and follow up treatment as needed twice a year for Obesity, Hyper-tension, Type II diabetes, Cardio-pulmonary disease, and Asthma.
  • Health and Wellness Education and Resources
